Teaching with Open Resources Online
Open Educational Resources (OER) are "free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, research, and other purposes.” They are part of a wider movement to provide alternatives to the restrictions of traditional publishing models. But what does this mean for you and your teaching practices? We'll talk about how to identify OER and OA material, the potential freedoms and limitations of Creative Commons licenses, and how to use open content.
